Savings estimates that reflect your actual AWS setup

Most AWS cost reports, including Trusted Advisor, quote potential savings at on-demand list prices. If you have Savings Plans or Reserved Instances, those figures are meaningless: the commitment still charges whether the instance runs or not, so stopping it doesn't save what the report claims.

plainfra reports check your Savings Plan and Reserved Instance coverage before estimating any saving. If your compute is substantially covered by a commitment, the report says so and adjusts the figure. Always-billed costs such as storage on stopped instances, unattached IPs, and idle NAT Gateways are reported as exact amounts, because there's nothing to qualify.

Connect your own AI tools

Core, Team, and Enterprise plans include an MCP gateway. It lets an AI tool you already use, such as an IDE assistant, a desktop assistant, or your own agent, ask plainfra about your AWS estate directly, instead of you copying an answer out of plainfra by hand.

Each connected tool gets its own key, shown once, scoped to the AWS accounts and services you choose. Revoke any single key at any time without touching the others. Everything reachable through the gateway is read-only: it can look, never change or deploy anything. Your AWS and other vendor credentials stay inside plainfra. The connected tool only ever holds its plainfra key, so a lost laptop costs you one revocable key, not a scatter of tokens across engineers' editors.

How tokens work

Tokens measure the AI processing behind each question and answer. A typical session, asking about security groups, load balancers, or cost anomalies, uses roughly 10–30K tokens. Your monthly allocation covers normal daily use with room to spare.

Need more? Top up at $25 per 1M tokens on Scout, Core, and Team plans. Unused top-up tokens roll over month to month. They never expire.

Read-only by design

plainfra connects to your AWS account through a read-only IAM role. It can inspect infrastructure metadata: security groups, Cost Explorer, CloudWatch alarms, and S3 bucket configuration. It cannot modify, create, or delete anything.

It also cannot read S3 object contents, database rows, Secrets Manager secret values, or secure SSM parameters. Setup is a CloudFormation template you can inspect before deploying.

model_training

Training and model providers

Data processed by models running inside AWS is never used to train AI models, under AWS's service terms. Where a third-party AI provider is used, that provider's terms apply. Your account data is used to answer your questions, generate your reports, and operate the service.
